What do you like about working at Valspar?

I love working at Valspar simply because Valspar is the best company, the cream of the crop out of all other companies I've worked for in my past. Not only that, the department I am working for, no doubt in my mind, is one of the finest example of what Valspar is all about. From great management, to fellow colleagues, we all have the mentality of "If it's matters, we're on it". What's also important for me is how well the personnel in the company get along, and with the 4 years I've been with Valspar, I have to say that we are great at getting along and accepting everyone around us as a big family. All in all, I am proud to be Valspar employee and equally proud to be part of the Dispense Team.

Tell us a little more about your experience at Valspar.

My job title is Associate Chemist, yet I have a BS in Accounting. My day to day duties always seem to be unpredictable, which makes the job more interesting. Working in the department that provides "made to order" custom paint always has the unexpected. From raw material quality to machine error, there's always something to keep everyone on the move. It's a road with a lot of bumps but also at the same time it's very rewarding, exciting, and fun. All of that would not had happened if Valspar did not excel at recognizing, and providing opportunities for their employees. Being at Valspar gives me the sense of being able to accomplish so much more, as well as seeing that my dedication for excellence is fully recognized by the company.
