I can't thank my team enough. Because of their support I was able to devote the time necessary to work with other department to make the process work so well. And without my team's support I would not have been able to get the training I needed to advance and to go to school to get my M.B.A.
What's your proudest accomplishment at Valspar?
Team building. I like communicating with my people, training them, working with them, helping them develop through specific assignments and follow ups. I am proud of my people. They work hard and always think about the good of the whole team.
What's different about the corporate culture at Valspar compared to other places you have worked?
Before joined Valspar, I have worked for two private companies. Valspar is a multinational company, and while it is of course focused on the profit, Valspar has also spent a great deal of time optimizing safe working conditions. So when I think what word sums up the values of the corporate culture here, the word is safety.
If you had to say one thing to a job candidate considering a position at Valspar what would it be?
